Sources management

In the initial view of the sources catalog, a list of all sources is displayed showing for each of them the following information:

  • External Id (source)

  • Type (template)

  • Status (active/inactive)

  • Timestamp of the last execution [New]

  • Status of the last execution [New]

  • Message

Clicking on the name of a source will take you to the details of that source and there you will be able to edit the information, run the source, activate/deactivate and delete it.

New source

The administrator users can create a new source from the initial page by clicking on the "New Source" botton.

The mandatory data to fill in for a system will be:

  • External ID: Identifier used by connectors to load metadata. It must be unique within the application.

  • Type: Template to be used (this has to be previously defined as explained below)

A source system may also have additional metadata according to installation requirements. To do this, a template with name System and scope Data Catalog must be registered.

This will allow us to enter information at the system level as we have defined in our template in such a way that said information is available to all users who have access to system structures.
