# Global search engine

The global search engine of the application allows you to search throughout the application, currently being effective on the business glossary and data catalog modules.

By entering the search text you will get suggestions and you can either click on one of them to navigate to the entity found directly or press enter to get a complete list of results.

![](/files/-MKAunH-p2ebVYAsbniv)

From this list you can see all the results or specific results for any of the modules. You can also navigate to the selected result to see more detail about it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.truedat.io/v7.12/userguide/search.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
